Linkedin Company Profile
Basic setup of a Linkedin company profile
Once you have a personal account with Linkedin you can set up a company profile. In fact you can set up several, should you so wish. Go to "Companies" in the top bar.
Click on that and you will see any companies that Linkedin knows you are associated with, and a link, over on the right, to "Add a company".
It's quite simple, your email address has to be the comapny one, and there's a disclaimer to tick, that you have a right to act on behalf of the company.
Linkedin sends you a confirmation email. You have to respond to that. Then you can start editing your company details. Here's the Newtricks.co edit page

You can put in a lot of information. In fact Linkedin will prompt you if there's not enough. There are three tabs.
"Overview" (shown above) is where you create further admins (remember any admin can remove othe admins, so you must be able to trust them), and add basic company information.
"Services" allows you to to create clickable banners (pictures that, when clicked on, will take you to a web page of your choosing) and add product or service information. The basic, free, service gives you up to three banners, plus a Youtube video, and a text box.
"Page Statistics" is where, in due course, you can find out how successful your page is.
You will see that there are many more things you can do, including creating different versions of your site for different markets or languages.
When you have finished, click "Publish" and your new business page is ready to be viewed. Notice the "Admin" button over on the right. That takes you back into the editing area any time you wish to change something.
You should of course "Follow" your business ("Follow" is the equivalent to Facebook "Like").
Now you can start sharing your updates.
